Each week, following the Sunday sermon we'll post key passages and some "So What?" questions.

Week 2 - Creeds & Confessions

July 6-12
  1. How does confessing sin "corporately" make you feel?
  2. When someone else in the church family sins, do you feel the burden of that sin in such a way that it moves you to contribute to making reconciliation? Why or why not?
  3. Is there anyone in the church family to whom you have confessed personal sins? Do you feel comfortable sharing what prompted you to do it and what the result was?
  4. Why is confessing sin a central part of the gospel?
  5. Are you familiar with any of the early church creeds? (Apostles, Nicene, Athanasian, etc.) Where did you first encounter them and how does it make you feel to recite them?
  6. As you read the Nicene creed, are there any parts you don't understand? Or aren't quite sure you agree with them? Or just need some clarification?
