What is a building expansion pledge?
A building expansion pledge is simply a way that you communicate to our church leadership that you intend to make a financial donation to the building expansion project. The amount you pledge is confidential. Only you, the Lord, and our church finance team (Paul McLean, Michael Drew, Mike Enns & Cathy Hortop) can see your individual pledge amount.
How do I make a pledge?
You fill out this form with your name, and the amount that you plan to give towards this project before the end of this year. (December 31st, 2024). Make a pledge.
Have I already made a pledge? I don't remember filling out that form.
After we proposed this project in October 2023 we invited the church family to give us feedback. One of the questions on that feedback form was, "If this project is approved, I'll give $___ towards it." We took that number and marked it down as your pledge.

Wait a minute! I wasn't really intending to give that much/little! Can I change my pledge amount?
You sure can! Just reopen the Make a pledge page and put the correct number in the box. If you pledged $1000 but are only able to give $500, write down $500 as your pledge. We'll update your amount within a few days. Same goes if you want to increase your pledge. If you pledged $500 but are able to give $1000, write down $1000 in the box. (Don't worry, we won't add the two numbers together. Only the most recent number will be used.) Make or modify a pledge.
I know I made pledge and I've made a few donations towards it. How can I know how much more I need to give?
You can see the amount that you've given on your pledge campaign status page. There's a really satisfying bar graph that tracks your progress! Check it out. Individual pledge campaign status.
I've been making donations to the 'Building Expansion Project' but didn't make a pledge. If I make a pledge now, what happens?
Any donations that you've already made to this fund even if you made them before you made a pledge will automatically show up on your Individual pledge campaign status once we've updated the pledge on your profile.
I filled out the pledge form like you asked, but nothing is showing up on my Individual pledge campaign status page. What gives?
Updating your pledge has to be done manually, so as we receive your completed pledge forms, Pastor Mike has to manually update your profile. This should be a fairly quick process by he has a lot of things on his plate, so he's updating profiles a few times a week, as needed. Please be patient. 😊
Last question. I don't like filling out forms online. Can I just tell Pastor Mike how much I want to pledge?
You sure can, and on top of that, if you want to find out the status of your pledge, you can call him at the church office during office hours and he can tell you where you stand.

September 2024 - Update
We've gotten started!
August 2024 - Preparatory work for the expansion project
We've taken advantage of the fact that all eight of our student tenants are gone for the summer to do some preparatory work in their apartments. Construction workers have been closing off the south facing windows and door so that we'll be able to add our expansion when we're ready.
